In the wake of yesterday’s tragedy at the Boston Marathon, I want to devote this post to all those affected by the horrific event.
Whether you have lost a loved one, were one of the runners present/injured at the race, or a spectator from afar – we have all been touched by this catastrophe and my thoughts and prayers are with every one of you.
When I first heard about this occurrence, my first thoughts were, “what kind of person does something like this?!” I was easily caught up in my animosity for whoever is responsible for the actions that played out yesterday afternoon. I realized it is times like these where the most important thing we can do is come together and lift each other up.
It is these trying times that test our nation’s strength and our ability to face adversity and emerge stronger on the other side.
In an effort to support those in Boston during this time, please visit: Boston Marathon Help. That website will be updated throughout the day with more information and suggestions on what you can do to help.
I feel so blessed to be part of a country that steps up so quickly in the face of tragedy. Thank you all for supporting those in need.
